Stay online for a while! Online does not mean have an agent call you! You should have the option of talking to a person rather than the requirement that you talk to someone. We have visited a number of insurance websites that promise online quotes only to find out that one must submit personal information to and wait for an agent to be contacted. In fact one site we visited told us that up to five agents would contact us!
These sites are great if you are the agent getting those "leads" but if you are interested in buying/shopping for insurance these sites amount to a huge waste of time. Stay away from insurance websites that require your information before they give you any. After all, you came to learn about them. They might learn about you if and when you decide that you are ready. The solution? Get informed with the vast resources available through the Internet before you decide which insurance company or broker will be right for you.
The fact that a person or entity is licensed is obviously important. You should check for a license but that is the least of your worries when purchasing insurance online. Point: just because a person or entity is licensed does not mean they are ethical and certainly not that they are going to propose the best insurance products available. When shopping for insurance online, you should be more concerned about the financial strength of the company, the reputation and longevity of the agent and whether or not the company has the reputation of not making illegitimate problems when they need to pay claims.
Out of all the online insurance companies that we visited, we have made a selection of partners, who we sincerely trust. You can find their details on the right hand side of the page by category. We trust you will find them worth considering for your insurance needs.
Good luck with your hunt for the right insurance policy for YOU,
